Sailing adventure to Venice

Sailing to Venice represents outstanding and exquisite adventure on the northern Adriatic. Our mission starts in Izola (Isola) or Portorož (Portorose) in Istria/Slovenia. From the beginning we will have to navigate in direction to the Venice lagoon across the Adriatic and fight the open sea where there is no shelter between the islands. Also we will be crossing a route with quite a heavy commercial traffic and also a tanker can be expected on our way at any time. But on a sunny day and at moderate winds, which is common situation here, Sailing to Venice should be a piece of cake. And we will treat ourselves with one when we will stop for a break and have lunch somewhere on the Italian coast (resorts like Sabbiadoro – Golden sands).

Day 1: Ljubljana - Isola (Portorose) - Venice
Embarking on the sailboat in Isola or Portorose, we set our sails to Venice in the morning. Navigating in the open sea with heavy traffic we aim to reach the Venice lagoon in the afternoon. We spend the night in the marina, with a fair chance for an evening walk over several little bridges through the “floating city”, to experience Venice by night.

Day 2: Venice
Venice sightseeing. We will walk to the St.Mark square and other “musts” of the attractive city. With a naval bus – the vaporetto we will reach the other inhabited islands of the lagoon – Murano, Burano and Torcello. In the evening everything should be prepared for our night return journey and navigation back to Slovenia.
- Activities: vaporetto journey along channels, sightseeing.

Day 3: Venice - Isola (Portorose)
Night navigation across the Adriatic sea. Once again we are heading along endless summer resorts on the Italian coast. We aim to be back in the home marina by next day morning.

Price: 399,00 € / person
The price is valid with a minimum of 8 people and depends on the season. With 7 participants the price is 465,00 € /person, with 6 participants the price is 565,00 € /person.
During the high season (1.6.2010 - 25.9.2010) we are allowed to change the price.
Price includes:
- Sailboat charter and mooring
- 2 x overnight on the boat
